HIKING - What a great time to be in the woods. The special smells, the rustling of leaves, wildflowers beginning to dry as they stand and the crisp, clean air. Look for grouse, signs of moose rubbings on trees and the squirrels chattering as they store up food for winter.
CANOEING - it doesn’t get any better. Lakes so still and the reflections as close to real as the trees on shore. Day trips into the BWCA, then a cozy cabin with a fireplace to enjoy at night—quiet and solitude!
MOOSE VIEWING - Fall is the best time to see Moose! Moose are very active this time of year, preparing for winter and mating. See them come down to the lake for an early morning drink, or browsing in the forest late afternoon and evening. Moose often walk right thru the resort. What a sight!
RELAXING - Enjoy the fall weather from your cabin deck or dock--read, enjoy the view or simply relax. |
